The 2015–16 Boavista Praia season are in the island division of football (soccer) and is their current season.
Boavista competed in the third edition of their Champions Cup (Taça de Campeões). The club won the 2016 editiion.
The 2016-17 season would have a nearly good start starting at fifth place. Their first match was on November 4, the first held in the earliest part of November. The club defeated one of the major rival Vitória 1-0, a draw with Os Garridos was followed, fifth place was their position, it soared to their fourth after a win over Travadores in the third round, the club's first loss of the season was followed to ADESBA. On December 10, Boavista had a two match winning streak and defeated Celtic of Achadina de Baixo and Desportivo Praia, each with three goals that made up the club's highest scoring matches numbering three for about two months. On January 8, Boavista's second loss was made to Académica 1-0, Boavista defeated Eugénio Lima 1-3, Boavista's third loss was made to their rival Sporting 1-2 on January 27. On a rescheduled match on February 1, Boavista defeated Tchadense of the south of the city 1-0. Boavista went on a four match winning streak, they defeated Benfica 0-1 in their first match with that club, Narcelino was the club's highest goal scorer with five goals. The club currently made their highest scoring match of the season after defeating Vitória 0-5 on February 10 and became second after Desportivo in goal scoring numbering 21, the match record lasted until February 19 when they made another after defeating Os Garridos 8-0 and made it the region's highest in four seasons, Sporting was the last who scored eight goals in 2013, the club had 29 goals scored, ahead Desportivo with 25 and Sporting and Travadores' 20, three of the goals were scored by Anilton and along with two other players, he was one of three who scored the most goals in the regional championships, Boavista Praia became second placed with 31 points, a three point difference, later Boavista defeated Travadores 0-1, Narcelino was its only scorer. Their four match winning streak ended on March 4 when they made a goal draw with Bairro, the only scorer was Anilton and became the region's second scorer after Mbutidem Sunday and ahead of António Paiva Tavares with a total of ten. Boavista had another win over Celtic in the 16th round, one of the scorers was Anilton which was the region's second highest, on March 19, another single goal draw was made, this time with Desportivo, Anilton was the only scorer and their totals risen to 11, the region's highest shared with Mbutidem Sunday, Boavista had a total of 35 goals scored, two more than both Desportivo and Sporting. Anilton scored the most number of goals as of the 16th round numbering ten, shared with Mbutidem Sunday until the 17th round when he took it first, at the 18th round Anilton scored another totalling twelve but it was second as Mbutidem Sunday as a goal more but a goal more than Travadores's Paiva Tavares. Another win was made during the 18th round after defeating Académica and prevented that club from being second place and another a week later as Boavista defeated Tchadense 3-1 and put that club to seventh, their goal totals risen to remain the most in the region, 39 contines to be a goal more than both Desportivo and Sporting.
