The 2015–16 season will be Gillingham's 123rd season in their existence and third consecutive season in League One. Along with League One, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, League Cup, Football League Trophy and the regional Kent Senior Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

On 5 May 2015, It was announced that Gillingham would travel to Tonbridge Angels in a pre-season friendly. Also confirmed was a Home friendly against Brighton & Hove Albion on 29 July 2015. On 11 May 2015, it was confirmed that Gillingham would travel to Folkestone Invicta on 7 July 2015. On 12 May 2015, Gillingham announced they would visit Faversham Town on 4 August 2015. On 19 May 2015, Gillingham added Bromley to the list of pre-season fixtures. On 28 May 2015, Gillingham announced that Portsmouth will visit on 1 August 2015. On 17 June 2015, Gillingham announced they will travel to Dover Athletic on 25 July 2015.









On 17 June 2015, the fixtures for the forthcoming season were announced.















































On 16 June 2015, the first round draw was made, Gillingham were drawn away against Plymouth Argyle. In the second round, Gillingham were drawn away to Birmingham City.
