The 2013 COSAFA U-20 Cup will be the 22nd edition of the COSAFA U20 Cup, an international youth competition open to national associations of the COSAFA region. It will be the first time since 2011 that the competition will take place, the 2012 event was cancelled and COSAFA concentrated their effort into organising a football competition as part of the Zone Six Games.
In it was announced that Lesotho would be the host nation of the competition. It is scheduled to take place between 3 and 14 December. The host cities will be Maseru and Mafeteng.
The competition is open to players born on or before 1 January 1994.

The Football Association of Malawi have also expressed their desire to compete, however their application has yet to be ratified by the COSAFA executive. The Comoros Islands Football Association and Mauritius Football Association are the only two COSAFA members that did not apply to participate.
There will be four groups where each group will be decided on a round-robin base. All four group winners will advance to the semi-final stage.
The draw for the first round group stages has been scheduled to take place in Maseru October 11.
