The 2007 Future Cup was a 3 ODI cricket series between India and South Africa between 23 June and 1 July. The series was preceded by each team playing one match against Ireland.
This was the first instance Sachin Tendulkar was out at 99 in his entire career. This match is featured in the background of the film Slumdog Millionaire
Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to cross the 15000 run mark in One Day International history.
This was also India's first ODI series win outside the subcontinent since the famous NatWest Series win in England in 2002.
