The 2004 Houston Texans season was the third season in franchise history and saw the expansion club make a two-game improvement on its previous season record. This was the first season in franchise history where the Texans did not finish in last place in the AFC South. The Texans also earned their first victory over the Tennessee Titans, who preceded the Texans in Houston, this season.
