The 2002 LG Cup was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 5 and 13 October 2002 at the Guild Hall in Preston, England.
Stephen Lee was the defending champion, but he lost to eventual runner-up Alan McManus in the last 16. Chris Small won his only ranking title by defeating Alan McManus 9–5 in the final.
Defending champion Stephen Lee was the number 1 seed with World Champion Peter Ebdon seeded 2. The remaining places were allocated to players based on the world rankings.
