The 1999–2000 IRB Sevens World Series was the first of an annual series of IRB Sevens World Series tournaments for full national sides run by the International Rugby Board. The 1999-2000 Series consisted of ten tournaments spread over several continents. New Zealand and Fiji each won five, with New Zealand the overall Series winner.
