The 1998 African Women's Championship was the third staging of the CAF Women's Championship, the women's football tournament of Africa (CAF), who took place in Nigeria. It determined the CAF's two qualifiers for the FIFA Women's World Cup 1999 — the winner Nigeria and the runner-up Ghana. Nigeria won its third title, beating Ghana 2–0 in the final.
