The 1996 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was the second season of the Craftsman Truck Series, the third highest series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. Ron Hornaday of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. won the championship.

Seven races aired on ESPN, ten races on TNN, and two on CBS, and one on ABC.

The inaugural Florida Dodge Dealers 400 was held March 17 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Geoff Bodine won the pole. The race was broadcast on TNN.
