The 1991–92 Iraqi National League was the 18th season of the competition since its foundation in 1974. The league title was won by Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya; their third league title of the Premier League era and their eighth in total. They also won the Iraq FA Cup in this season to secure their first ever double. Al-Khutoot (known as Al-Tayaran at the time) made their debut in the top division.
Two places in the 1992–93 Iraqi National League were contested by Al-Tijara, Al-Sulaikh and Erbil and Al-Bahri. Al-Tijara and Erbil won the two places, meaning Al-Sulaikh were relegated from the top division and Al-Bahri remained in the lower division.
