The 1990 San Diego Chargers season began with the team trying to improve on their 6–10 record in 1989. It was the third straight year they won six games. San Diego would struggle from season's start, losing 4 of it's first 5 games before winning 4 of it's next 5 games to even their record at 5-5. The Chargers would then finish the season on a frustrating 1-5 finish.
