The 1983 Stanford Cardinal football team represented Stanford University in the 1983 NCAA Division I-A football season. In head coach Paul Wiggins's fourth and final season at Stanford, the Cardinal won only one game, ending the season with a 1–10 record, the school's worst since a winless 1960 season. Wiggin was fired on November 11, 1983, but was allowed to coach the two remaining games of Stanford's season.

The team played their home games at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California and competed in the Pacific-10 Conference.
