The 1980 Gilbey's Gin season was the second season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Open Conference: The second-year ballclub brought back Larry McNeill as their import, this time teaming up with James Bradley. Gilbey's Gin finish with a 3-6 won-loss card in the first round of eliminations. They won four of their nine matches in the second round for a 7-win, 11-loss slate, good for seventh place and failed to qualify in the semifinal round.
All-Filipino Conference: Coach Pilo Pumaren was replaced by Nemie Villegas as the team's head coach. Gilbey's posted a 5-4 and 3-2 won-loss cards in the elimination and quarterfinal phase and advances into the four team-semifinals where they lost all their games in a single round-robin.
Wilfredo Generalao was named the season's Rookie of the year
