The 1938 Arizona State Bulldogs football team was an American football team that represented Arizona State Teachers College (later renamed Arizona State University) in the Border Intercollegiate Athletic Association (BIAA) during the 1938 college football season. In their first season under head coach Dixie Howell, the Bulldogs compiled a 3–6 record (0–4 against BIAA opponents) and were outscored by their opponents by a combined total of 98 to 89. Wes Hastings was the team captain.
