10 Day is the first official mixtape by American rapper Chance the Rapper. It was released on April 3, 2012, independently, as a free digital download. The mixtape garnered significant buzz and critical acclaim and garnered the attention of many music media outlets. The mixtape has been streamed nearly 600,000 times and downloaded over 400,000 times on mixtape site DatPiff.
Following a 10-day suspension in 2011 for possessing marijuana on his high school campus, Bennett recorded his first full-length project, called 10 Day. Prior to the mixtape, he was highlighted as one of Complex magazine's "10 New Chicago Rappers to Watch Out For." The mixtape features guest appearances from Vic Mensa, Sulaiman, and Nico Segal. The mixtape also includes production from Petter Cottontale, Chuck Inglish, Blended Babies, DJ SuchNSuch, MF Love, Flying Lotus, THEMPeople, Caleb James, Lex Luger. The mixtape would also garner the attention of Forbes magazine, as it was featured in the publication's Cheap Tunes column.
