Tapari

Tapari (Nepali: टपरी) is a leaf plate used in Nepal. Tapari is used as a plate in traditional feasts during different religious ceremonies like marriage. Nowadays tapari are used to serve food not only during traditional wedding parties and religious ceremonies, but even by urban fast food stalls.

Tapari is made from mature green leaves of Shorea robusta (sal tree). Leaves are gathered and stitched together with bamboo fine sticks called sinkaa.
