Career

Wilson Ferreira (footballer) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Southern League Premier Division side Dunstable Town F.C., where he plays as a winger/attacking midfielder. He previously played in the Portuguese Football League for GD Fabril and Alcochetense.

Although Wilson was born in Portugal, due to his parents we was eligible to play international level for Angola and in 2008 with only 18 years old he was part of the team that had the training camp in Portugal to the African Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana in that year. Unfortunately due to an injury he was not selected to the final team that made history in that year. He was also part of under-20 Angolan squad.

He was born and raised in Portugal and began his football career at age of seven playing for local side Barreirense. His pace and skills caught the attention of many scouts, including Sporting’s scout Aurelio Pereira and at age of eleven, he began training with Sporting Clube de Portugal, eventually joining Sporting's youth squad after they offered him pre-season training. The following year he was loaned back to his former team Barreirense and made his senior debut at the age of 18 in the rivals GD Fabril.

Wilson then played in Campeonato de Portugal for Alcochetense before he moved to England. He had a successful trial at Conference National North side, Leamington FC. His stay at Leamington was brief as he had to move to London. He then had a brief spell at North Greenford. In the summer of 2015 he joined Southern Premier team, Chesham United.
