Secret Hitler is a hidden identity party game where players take on the role of liberals and fascists in the Reichstag of 1930s Weimar Germany. The liberals must successfully pass liberal policies while preventing the fascists from enacting a specified number of fascist policies or electing Adolf Hitler as Chancellor after 3 fascist policies are enacted.

Players are secretly divided into two teams: liberals and fascists. The fascists are known to each other and know which player is Hitler, but the Hitler player does not know the identity of the fascists in games with 7 or more players.

The number of fascists and liberals are dependent on the number of players.

'H' refers to the 'Secret Hitler' identity

For the liberal players to win, they must either enact 5 liberal policies or assassinate Hitler if assassination has been unlocked from enough fascist policies. The fascist players must pass a specific number of fascist policies to win or must successfully install Hitler as chancellor after three fascist policies have passed.

Secret Hitler was designed by Mike Boxleiter (Solipskier, TouchTone), Tommy Maranges (Philosophy Bro) and illustrated by Mackenzie Schubert (Letter Tycoon, Penny Press). The game was produced by Max Temkin, one of the creators of Cards Against Humanity, and the development team worked out of office spaces provided by Cards Against Humanity for new game designers. In addition the official release, the game is available as a free print & play version.

The game was published in 2016 after a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign which raised over $1 million.

A free to play community online version of the game is playable at https://secrethitler.io. A version of the game is also playable in the video game Tabletop Simulator.
