K. N. T. Sastry is an Indian film critic, director and writer, known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, and few Kannada films. He has garnered six National Film Awards.He has recently completed his children's film SHAANU directed by him, produced by CFSI music was given by Isaac Thomas Kotukapalli cinematographer by M. J. Radhakrishnan and edited by Sreekar Prasad He has directed films such as Surabhi, Thilaadanam, Kamli, Snehanveshana, The Aliens, Harvesting Baby Girls, Snehe Geethe, and Sarasammana Samadhi.
Sastry is an experienced Indian film critic. with more than thirty years of experience, Sastry always wanted to make films which have a striking a balance between art and Parallel Cinema. He was a jury member for many international film festivals. He served as chairman of critics Jury at National Film Awards and has served as a Jury Member for Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards.
