Infunitum

Infunitum, pronounced /in-FUN-item/, is a social-based board game which rewards players for unique answers to hundreds of topics.

Infunitum is a trademark of Infunitum Inc (Trademarkia), which is a Chicago-based company founded in 2009 by May Requilman and Hazel Tabayoyong. Infunitum was designed by Abner Avila.

Infunitum was launched to the public at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair (CHITAG) in November 2009, where it was awarded Best Game in Show. Infunitum was named one of the Products of the Day by TOYDIRECTORY and TDmonthly Magazine during Toy Fair 2010 in New York City (TDmonthly).

Infunitum contains one game board, six game pieces, an hourglass and cards containing 450 topics. Players must provide paper and pencil.

Choose a player to begin play.

Player one selects a card from the stack, reads a topic aloud, and turns the hourglass to begin play.

All players have one minute to write as many answers as possible to the topic.

Beginning with player one and going around the table, each player reads his/her answers aloud. When multiple players have the same answer, all players must cross the duplicated answers from their list.

Players may question answers being provided and require the reading player to justify his/her answers. All players can vote yes or no to award points for questionable answers.

Players earn one point for each original answer. Points are not awarded for answers that were duplicated by other players or answers that were voted down by other players.

Each player advances his/her game piece one square per point awarded. If a game piece lands on a square with a plus (+) or minus (-) sign, move the game piece accordingly, i.e. +2 means move the game piece forward two spaces and -1 means move the game piece backward one space.

The first player to reach the middle of the game board wins.

While the game contains six game pieces, there is no limit to the number of players that may participate. Multiple players may share a quad on the game board.
