Howard W. Peak was the mayor of San Antonio, Texas from 1997 to 2001. He was succeeded by Ed Garza.
Among his accomplishments was the development of a system of greenway trails for the city, which was named in his honor after his tenure as mayor. As of 2017, he is the last Republican to serve as mayor of San Antonio.
