Jean Bizimana (born January 03, 1992) is a Rwandan professional photographer. His passion in photography started at age of 8, when he became a member of Through the Eyes of Children, a Rwandan photography training program established in 2000 by David Jiranek and Kristen Ashburn. Its purpose was to familiarize Rwandan children with taking pictures to show the beauty of their country and people’s livelihoods. The photos were shown in the U.S. exhibits and earned proceeds from print sales, which were then used to fund schooling for children in Rwanda. When Jean Bizimana graduated from the program in 2010, he attended many workshops and exhibitions to meet other professional photographers.

In November 2013, he participated in a workshop organized in Kigali, Rwanda by Dr. Zoe Norridge of Kings College London. Jean Bizmana won the equipment Award for offering the strongest collection photographs, and his work was displayed in the Death Then, Life Now exhibition at Somerset House, London, from March-April 2014. In March 2015, he participated in a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya organized by Canon Middle East London. In June 2015 he participated in a workshop in Kigali, Rwanda organized by Thomson Reuters Foundation. The photography made him look at life differently and realize there is an entirely different world out there. With photography he has seen that life can change in a flash no matter where you are.

He is based in Kigali Rwanda.
