Pinch-induced behavioral inhibition

Pinch-induced behavioral inhibition (PIBI) or clipnosis is a partially inert state which results from a gentle squeeze of the skin behind the neck. It is mostly observed among Felidae and allows the mother cat to easily carry her cub with her jaws. It can be used to effectively restrain most cats in a domestic or veterinary context.
