The song, produced by DJ Mustard, features a guest appearance from B.o.B. The song was written by Tyrone Griffin, Bobby Simmons and Dijon McFarlane. "Paranoid" is a hip hop song that lyrically describes being in fear of getting caught cheating.

"Paranoid" received overall favorable reviews from music critics. The song peaked at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and reached number nine on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
