Raphael Zagury-Orly: currently Guest Professor of Philosophy at the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung - Karlsruhe. He is also, since 2004, Lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Jerusalem), where, from 2010 to 2014, he directed the prestigious MFA program. He has authored Questionner encore (Galilée, 2010) and, in collaboration with Joseph Cohen, co-edited Judéités –questions pour Jacques Derrida (Galilée, 2003) as well as Heidegger. Qu'appelle-t-on le lieu? (Les Temps Modernes, 2008) and Derrida. L'événement déconstruction (Les Temps Modernes, 2012). He is a permanent member of the Editorial Committee of the French journal Cités (Paris, Presses Universitaires de France) since 2011 and also Scientific Editor at the Resling Publishing House in Tel-Aviv, since 2004, where he has directed numerous Hebrew translations of Derrida, Deleuze, Bataille. In 2014, Raphael Zagury-Orly was named Special Consultant for the GLOBALE project, curated by Peter Weibel, at the "Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie" in Karlsruhe. His philosophical research focuses primarily on German Idealism and European contemporary philosophy, from Phenomenology to Hermeneutics and Deconstruction. His recent research on European nihilism and its various manifestations in modernity has brought Raphael Zagury-Orly to focus his work on the philosophical and theological questions of "revelation", "apocalypse" and "election".
