The College of Education has inherited 60 years long of tradition from the Kongju National Teachers College, established in 1948. From starting off with 3 departments (Korean Literature, Mathematics, and Housekeeping) and 136 students, we now have 22 departments with 122 professors and about 3,000 students. We are now the largest among all National Teachers Colleges. There have been many crises since its establishment, however, we have taken those crises as opportunities to become a stronger college and as such have succeeded. We were chosen as the best Teachers College (National and Private) in 2003 and over the past 7 years, our graduates have received the honor of having the highest number to successfully pass the National Teachers Entrance Exam. We intend to continue improving to become the undisputed teaching college leader of the future.
