Finlay & Co.

Finlay & Co. is a British eyewear brand which specialises in luxury, handmade sunglasses and prescription glasses. Finlay & Co. sells online and through a number of boutiques and department stores around the world including Harvey Nichols, London and Barneys, New York.

The brand was founded in 2012 in London by four friends. Finlay & Co. launched with a collection of handmade wooden sunglasses. The British model, David Gandy was one of the first Finlay & Co. wearers, spotted at London Collections Men wearing a pair of Finlay & Co. Ledbury Ebony frames.

Finlay & Co. featured in the British Fashion Awards and won a Shell LiveWIRE Grand Ideas Award in 2012. The Daily Telegraph's Victoria Bain said the company's Bosworth Ebony sunglasses would "turn way more heads in the park."

Finlay & Co. opened its first pop-up shop, ‘Head to Toe’ in Carnaby Street in June of 2013. Alongside its products were other luxury brands such as Serge DeNimes, Oliver Sweeney and Marlborough World.

In February 2014, Finlay & Co. was invited to exhibit at Milan Fashion Week as part of The Vogue Talents Corner.[6] After an evaluation process, Finlay & Co. were “a few of the lucky ones” to have their creativity, manufacturing, commercial potential, and brand vision critiqued by international designers such as Donatella Versace and Giuseppe Zanotti. American Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour said at the event, "The young quartet that make sunglasses are very talented.”

After meeting with the buyers from Barneys at numerous seasons of New York Fashion week, Finlay & Co. landed its brand in five of their eight locations: New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
