Dhorimana is a village in [Dhorimanna] tehsil of Barmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The name is derived from "Dhora", as this village is surrounded by the sand dunes of the Thar Desert ("Dhora") and Aravali mountains. The town is known by the name of "Aalam nagri". Around 1974 this village was badly affected by drought, killing many animals and making food scarce. The village grew to become the biggest "Panchayat" of Barmer District.

The village offers basic amenities such as electricity, water at doorstep. Bus service is available for major and metro cities. The village has government and private hospitals and clinics. Veterinary services are available, including help for camels and buffaloes. Most homes are made of hard rock brick. The village has a police station, petrol/diesel stations, banks, a government circuit house, PWD, PHED, post office, and telephone exchange.

The village has approximately 15 schools, which are average by standards, but education in Dhorimanna is flourishing. It's gaining more importance with every day. Dhorimanna has seen quite a few civil services officers created from it, which is quite a thing looking at the literacy level of the town.

The Hindu Devta Alamji's temple is situated by a nearby mountain. Every year a ten-day fair draws people for trading animals.

The main occupations are farming ("Jeera", "Gwar", "Ishabghol"), retail, LIC and computer education and communication. Many residents migrated to work elsewhere.

The population according to the Indian Census 2001 is around 5,271. The male population is 2,819 and female population is 2,452.
