Congolese unification refers to the potential future unification of the Republic of the Congo (capital: Brazzaville) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (capital: Kinshasa) under a single government.
The two Congos share many ethnic groups, an official language (French) and national languages (Lingala, Kituba, Kongo); additionally, their capitals form a single conurbation straddling the Congo River, and are the two capitals closest to one another in the world.
