Sochi, is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located on the Black Sea coast has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen climate classification Cfa), with warm rainy winter and sunny warm summer.

The territory of Sochi contains many microclimates, the daytime temperatures can vary as much as 10 °C between coastal areas in Adler and Lazarevsky and 20 °C - Krasnaya Polyana.

Its average annual temperature is 18.4 °C (65.1 °F) during the day and 11.1 °C (52.0 °F) at night. In the coldest month – February, typically the temperature ranges from 5 to 15 °C (41 to 59 °F) during the day and 2 to 10 °C (36 to 50 °F) at night. In the warmest month – August, the typically temperature ranges from 25 to 30 °C (77 to 86 °F) during the day and about 20 °C (68 °F) at night. Large fluctuations in temperature are rare. The highest temperature recorded in Sochi was 38.4 °C (101.1 °F) on July 30, 2000. The lowest temperature was −13.4 °C (7.9 °F) on January 25, 1892 and −7.3 °C (18.9 °F) on January 4, 2016 since 2001.

Winters in Sochi are mild. January and February are the coldest months, with average temperatures around 10 °C (50 °F) during the day and 3 °C (37 °F) at night.

Generally the summer season lasts about six months, from May to October. July and August are the warmest months, with average temperatures around 27–28 °C (81–82 °F) during the day and 20 °C (68 °F) at night. In June and September the average temperature is around 25 °C (77 °F) during the day and 15 °C (59 °F) at night, and in May and October the average temperature is around 20 °C (68 °F) during the day and 12 °C (54 °F) at night.
