Athens (/ˈæθənz/, /ˈθənz/ or AY-thinz) is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 442 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 13.1 square miles (33.9 km2), of which 13.0 square miles (33.8 km2) is land and 0.04 square mile (0.1 km2) (0.31%) is water.

As of the census of 2010, there were 442 people, 181 households, and 113 families residing in the town. The population density was 34.0 people per square mile (13.1/km2).
